    Question Should I Install this Windows 7?

    Ok this may seem like a silly question perhaps, but i'm really curious of the results of my actions on this.

    Well I just got a free copy of Wins 7 from my laptop's company with an offer that came with my setup. (ASUS).

    So! I want to know, will there be any repercussions of any kind with installing this new OS? I mean like some games not working, compatibility issues, the like? My friend said that simply installing Win should make everything go so much faster, and i'm guessing that my apply to my games, depending.

    So whats the opinion on this?

    Go for it, I installed it straight from XP and never looked back. Everything's improved. its faster, sleeker, and the added recovery options make it easy to clean up after a mess.

    Too Brilliant for introductions.

    Install it!

    You won't have any problems with games. In fact, if you're currently using Vista, you'll probably see better performance in a few of them. Haha! I've been using 7 since Oct and haven't had any issues yet. I haven't even had to use compatibility mode for any of my older games (like Quake II). It's awesome and you'll love it.

    I love the sound of that! I was mainl getting used to Vista was all, but man this was a free upgrade, hells yeah!

    I'll probably just upstall this baby tommorow. But if anyone still has any comments, lay em' down!

    I went from Vista to 7. Noticeable increase in framerate. Backstabs have never looked so smooth. It uses sooooo much less RAM than Vista.

    I would defo install! huge improvement over the older OS's. Like others i noticed much better performance in games.

    Go for it...you wont regret it!

    ps..just make sure any periferals (can't spell!) has support or the lastest firmware/drivers for windows 7. most of them will be automatically installed.

    I forgot I had the disc until I saw this lol, will do this a bit later and let you guys know how it is hopefully. (Unlike my other thread when I bought that copy of GTA and told you guys how it might run.

    BTW, that copy is doing better than I thought but still it's running on a hard schedule! Getting like 16 average FPS on that!)
